Exclusive Southern
Africa
The Legendary Kruger National Park is the
second largest national park in Africa and Ngala Tented Camp, the only private
game reserve in the Park, is an elegant and luxurious camp on the banks of the
seasonal Timbavati River. Ngala's habitats support an astonishing variety of
wildlife including the "big five". This is a fabulous place to start your
vacation and all our clients that stay here rave about it.
From Ngala you travel into the Sabi
Sands, once the private hunting grounds of the rich and famous and now probably
the finest game viewing destination in the world. Here you spend three nights
at the magnificent and highly regarded Vuyatela.
The game here is extraordinary, with
"big five" sightings almost a daily event. The camp is built on the edge of a
water hole which is frequented by nyala, water buck, elephant and the most
beautiful bird life.
Flying north you spend two nights at
the River Club on the banks of the Zambezi River, Zambia and enjoy the Seventh
Wonder of the World, Victoria Falls - "The Smoke That Thunders".
After a full day to explore the Falls
and the wonderful open air markets you will transfer to a very different part
of Africa, the magnificent and unique Okavango Delta in Botswana with its
splendid camps, magnificent game and simple tranquility. Here you spend three
nights at each of two really fabulous camps, Duba Plains and Chitabe Camp.
Duba Plains offers thrilling wildlife
sightings as thousands of buffalo are hunted almost daily by up to four
different prides of lions and often the hunting is during the day - so one gets
great photo opportunities. Leopards are found on the forested islands and
birding "specials" like wattled crane and slaty egret are often seen.
"watching the lion stalking buffalo
on the plains at Duba the most interesting and exciting thing I have ever seen"
Your last camp is Chitabe in an area
with a superb variety of habitats, including waterways and marshlands, dry
acacia and mopane woodland, riverine areas, open grasslands and seasonally
flooded plains. The wildlife is equally diverse with Elephant, Buffalo, Lion,
Leopard, Cheetah and even the highly endangered Wild Dog.
