Following is a sample itinerary to the
Galápagos Islands and Ecuador. Typically, our guests like to extend
their stay to such areas as the Otavalo highlands for a visit to the Indian
market. You can spend a night or two at a hacienda or visit a lodge in the
Amazon jungle:
Day 1: Today you start your trip by flying to
Quito, Ecuador. Your flight arrives in the evening. Once you clear Customs and
Immigration, our representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Today is free with a choice of
activities. You can travel a short distance north to the verdant slopes and
lakes of the volcanic highlands, famous for its haciendas and the Otavalo
Indian market. Alternatively you can visit a cloud forest reserve with one of
the largest populations of hummingbirds in the world or enjoy a leisurely
stroll down the cobblestones of colonial Quito during a city tour. In the
evening dinner is on your own after which you'll return to your Quito hotel.

Day 3: Following an early breakfast, we
transfer you to the airport for your flight to the Galápagos Islands
stopping briefly in the coastal city of Guayaquil en route. The turquoise blue
water surrounding the coast is visible from the air, and it's not long after
passing through Park Inspection that you will be crossing from shore to reach
your yacht and home for the next week. While settling into your cabin and
surroundings, you will meet your guide and crew, and then set out on your first

Days 4 thru 9: No matter which yacht you
choose, the next 7 days will be among the most memorable of your life as you
cruise the Galápagos Island, visiting many of the same places Charles
Darwin did over 150 years ago. You will be amazed at just how many peak
experiences you will have each day in this fabled archipelago. (B, L, D

Day 10: After a final morning visit to a
landing site, our cruise comes to an end and we return to port for the return
flight through Guayaquil and on to Quito. (B, L, D…accommodations in

Day 11: Today you transfer to the airport for
your flight home. We encourage you extend your stay and enjoy the wonderful
cultural experiences that you will find on the mainland of Ecuador or Peru.
