one of our friendly adventure vessels! The names in our fleet are recognized
worldwide for their luxury, comfort and seaworthiness. Each is equipped with
cutting-edge navigation and safety equipment, along with all the comforts of
home and more. Our yachts provide for an uncrowded experience of 8 to 16
passengers, with our new vessel, the Evolution, catering for up to 32.

tailored and flexible, one-of-a-kind voyage for you. Our yachts are ideal for
private charters as well, and we will arrange a journey around your
favorite activities and interests.
All cabins come with private bathrooms, hot showers
and air conditioning, and during landings your quarters will be cleaned twice
daily. Your galley and dining staff will turn out both wholesome and gourmet
meals, and each vessel is stocked with "food for thought" as well-a library
containing a wealth of information on the natural history of the
Galápagos plus an entertainment center complete with DVDs or videos. All
our yachts, including sailing vessels, are equipped with engines to cover the
distances of your itinerary expeditiously.
This is your vacation and time to relax; all boats
have plenty of areas to lounge in the sun or shade, and the bar is always open
for refreshments. Sea kayaks are available for some additional fun and we carry
snorkeling gear for all. The yachts listed below are truly worthy of the
incomparable, world-famous experience of the Galápagos Archipelago.

well appointed cabins is both spacious and charming, and you'll find ample

naturalist guide each day, is bounded on three sides by a comfortable built-in
sofa across from an old-fashioned bar-and a modern-day entertainment center.
Alta staff offer gourmet dining in the "mess" (a fine cabin of its own), or an
equally elegant al fresco meal on the foredeck. There are many places to relax,
including a sundeck with lounge chairs just forward of the bridge, and another
with large cushions on the bow of the yacht. When conditions permit, sails are

Diamante:
Motor Sailer ·
Brigantine Schooner · 6 Cabins ? 8 to 12 Passengers · 5 Crew
· 1 Naturalist Guide
>> Ideal for Smaller
Charters
If you're looking for an authentic expedition through the
Galápagos you've found your "Beagle." The Diamante is a modern
scaled-down version of the great naval training ships. Her beautifully crafted
woodwork surrounds you in rich teak and mahogany, and at 112 feet, she's
comfortable and roomy. Each cabin is configured differently, engineered to make
the most of her fine lines. The aft cabin, for example, will leave you feeling
like the captain of an old square-rigger with its raised berth perched beside
the bay windows. Each cabin has plenty of storage space and is equipped with a
private bathroom and shower, as are all our yachts. Diamante has a bright and
airy deckhouse where the main salon/dining room are located. This beamed salon
offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding islands. Dining is also offered
outside, around the great teak table aft of the pilot house. The decks are
expansive, and beckon you to a snooze in a hammock or a lounge in cushions up
top. For the feel of the wind under sail, this yacht is unbeatable. Due to the
distances we must cross and the calmness of the wind, the Captain usually gives
Diamante a little encouragement with some quiet engine-power.

This vessel preserves the smaller boat atmosphere and
attention to detail that make this a very special trip.

Evolution:
Expedition Vessel · 14
Cabins · 2 Suites · 32 Passengers · 18 Crew · 1 to
2 Naturalist Guides · 1 Tour Leader
>> New! Coming in Spring
2004 (Reserve Now!)
In the days before jet travel when ships like the
Queen Mary and Elizabeth ruled transcontinental travel, self-made millionaires,
movie moguls and royalty built smaller versions of the great ocean liners as
personal yachts. The Evolution gives travelers the sensation of stepping back
into the Roaring Twenties aboard a cruise ship designed to visit exotic places
in luxury and style. In this case the Galápagos islands provide plenty
of exotic landings, species and peak travel experiences. This unique adventure
ship has all the modern amenities and loving attention to detail in its
design-in the spirit of bygone oceangoing luxury-yet retains the jovial
atmosphere of a smaller boat. It features stylish cabins, suites, indoor and
outdoor dining areas, a library cabin, an observation deck, a sundeck with a
small hot-pool, a canopied roof-deck bar, and even a medically staffed
infirmary.
There are plenty of friendly staff ready to see to
your wishes and needs. A special Tour Leader will oversee your yacht, and
depending on the size of your group, you may have up to two naturalist guides.
The Evolution also provides some unique ways to see the Galápagos,
carrying clear acrylic sea kayaks for "glass-bottom" glimpses beneath the calm
seas, and "scuba*" for longer, deeper visits with underwater life. We dedicate
the Evolution to the astute world-traveler whose voyage of discovery is
boundless and never-ending!
*Snuba allows breathing underwater through a
hose attached to an air compressor.

sea-kayaker and natural-history passenger alike. Lammer Law is a superlative,
fully outfitted dive boat-one of two in our fleet-with the result that she is
highly sought-after. Her large sundeck encompasses most of the yacht's
exterior, making for an ideal mother ship for stowing and launching sea kayaks
on special paddling itineraries. The main salon is truly spacious, equipped
with luxurious sofas and chairs, a bar and entertainment center. Passengers
gather here for briefings by our guides, to watch films, enjoy a drink at the
bar or just relax. All meals are served outside as the dining area is located
in the stern. She has eight very roomy cabins with plenty of storage. All the
beds can be arranged as doubles or separate twins. The sun deck seems to offer
acres of space to sunbathe, read a book, take pictures, or just enjoy the
journey to the next island. Aft of the main deck is the cockpit; if there's a
good wind our captain may hoist the sails and he'll always be ready with
pointers for the recreational sailor, or ready to share navigation tips with
more experienced mariners. The artful combination of stability, grace and speed
